This was kind of an interesting topic I felt as it isn’t uncommon for people to work extra-long hours at a job where the sole intent is to save up enough money to then take a nice long break. Now for this example I am not talking about vacation in the sense of traveling to a different country for the experience. I am talking about a scenario where a person say works like eighty hours one week which makes up for not working the next week kind of deal.
Generally speaking for myself I have always viewed vacations as more of a way to experience different things in life as opposed to a stress reliever of sorts. Like here I think it is better to have constant balance where your work shouldn’t feel like a “job” per se where you hate getting up in the morning. Instead changing things up a little from time to time helps to keep you motivated in life I say.
So when I hear people who mentioned that they work for money for the sake of being able to take time off isn’t it in many ways less stressful to eliminate the vacation expense and just make your life more consistently balanced? It kind of relates too financially when I see people work very hard for the week to then use up like two days of their pay in like one day solely on alcohol. Like there many would say they need it to stay stress free but financially wouldn’t it be better to just work less there instead?
Granted every situation doesn’t have the same circumstances. It’s kind of a different perspective though on all the times we say we need money to help balance the things in our lives when maybe we should be focused in accomplishing that first.
