I have been enjoying trying out various AI platforms to do some work to the point where I was considering allowing one task to be done exclusively by it for next year as a test to see how viable it is and for the money. Today something crazy happened as the usage was spiking for no real reason which means I would have to try and conserve the service. For those who don’t know, think of the usage as like the amount of minutes you have on a monthly phone plan. Go over and you’ll have to pay more.
After reading some more, apparently various companies decided to adjust its services where basic tasks actually cost more as they try to remain profitable. I was thinking, ca you imagine the predicament one would be in if they relied on an AI platform to be an essential worker of sort? There doesn’t seem to be any guarantees of the service not changing on the fly and I can imagine people that rely on it 100% will be forced to pay the extra fees as they had no backup. Imagine an Internet service randomly cutting your usage to half.
So I guess at this point since it isn’t exactly an essential service that people rely on like a utility you have to be weary unless you truly just have money to spend or that the service is truly helping you to make and save money.
