The Importance of Tracking Grocery Price Deals

What a great example this was I thought on how keeping track of grocery prices to truly understand what is a good deal can save you so much money versus just relying on a flyer or signage as an example. While I was walking through the supermarket over the past few days I noticed that they had these baby carrots on sale for $1.98. This was unadvertised too. The over limit price here stated $5.49 and these usually are tagged at a premium price since it saves you time from having to say cut larger carrots into servable pieces.

I did ended up buying a package each time I visited since it was a great deal. Now today the prices all changed because of new flyers and on my app the store was actually promoting these exact same carrots this week. The price was tagged at $3.99 in which they labelled it as a deal that can’t be missed. I guess that is a better deal than the regular price. But it sure doesn’t beat the $1.98 price.

A perfect example on how keeping track of grocery prices for certain items can save you so much as too many times people just go in thinking that because the sign tells you it is a great deal then it has to be.
