The other day while at a location called Grouse Mountain here a few people I was with wanted to check out this attraction called the Eye of the wind. As the text on the glass window indicated you are essentially 4176.5 Feet in the air where you get a good view of the surrounding. It costs about $16 to go up there and we stayed for about 30 minutes. One person’s comment was kind of funny in regards to that as he was saying how he preferred a place called Harbour Centre which is in the middle of the city. You can get up there for free if you really wanted and the top actually rotates at a fairly noticeable speed.
So in that sense the idea of being very high in the sky wasn’t anything new. But the location in which you get to do that would be different though. As a result, his comment made me think about spending money as people usually say you should focus on the experiences and not the money. But in a case like this would you consider this the “same” in many ways if you are like always around extremely tall buildings? Would you then be inclined to not try out the experience at full price but instead wait for a heavy discount?
I would be inclined to say for like this person it would have been better to wait for a discount of some sort. I can see how it would have been very good for tourists though who are not used to being in the area.
