There were a few pieces of gear I was thinking of getting in recent times but was holding out to see what will be on sale during days like Black Friday since it I only a few weeks away. But I was reading how the Canadian dollar has been falling where as of today it was sitting at about 72 cents US. With that drop it almost feels like any price drop for a product that is being sold in US funds can potentially be more expensive because of it. Which makes me wonder, should I just purchase certain items now?
For some items like webhosting a lot of the providers do charge in US funds and I was actually thinking of trying different providers. Situations like those are a little unavoidable where it has to simply b an expense increase for the year and I would just have to offset the cost in other ways. But for items that I don’t truly need I am inclined to wait still because it can go either way where the dollar can all of a sudden go up again.
As well, that should technically mean I have two chances to get a lower priced item as the other possibility is the future sale is so ridiculous at like a 50% off sale that the dollar would truly have to tank to not save money. Either way, it is a gamble huh? But because I can still function without it waiting to see seems to be the most logical approach.
