I was debating recently to buy something from this company Eddie Bauer as they had a 50% off the entire site sale which seemed very good as I was looking to get a better winter jacket and heard their products were of good quality. I didn’t end up buying anything a I wasn’t confident in any particular item since I have no real experience with the company.
So, after that sale they quickly released another one which sounded similar except this time it was 40% off everything. Because of the old sale I saw this one was easier to so no to knowing how low they can go from before to the point where I may as well see what Black Friday has to offer. It makes me think that the company saw a huge surge in sales with the 50% off offer that they figured they try to maximize profits while repeating its success. However, having a back-to-back comparison so soon results in people like myself just opting to pass.
With that thought it makes you wonder if it is a good idea to just hold off on a sales event like this as not spreading them apart will make every other sale feel overpriced to the point where you will need a Black Friday sale every week to wow people.
