Today I had a couple of scenarios where my smartphone fell out of my pocket and as a result it was sitting in the cold and wet snow for a bit at times. The immediate concern that many people had was that it would be water damaged and all. But interestingly enough the phone I have has a ton of water resistant functions where it was fine as a result.
Come to think of it when I bought the phone that was one of my least interested feature as I never saw myself like going swimming or something with my smartphone. Though in this example it sure unexpectedly helped. Kind of makes you wonder many times if you should spend the extra money in buying all these features and functions that you may potentially need.
I usually find that you can get carried away with this and end up paying way too much for too many things you don’t actually need. That’s never good for your wallet of course. I guess for me I tend to just take it if it comes with it. More often I would end up not needing extra features where it is money down the drain. Especially with electronics where by the time your item needs a replacement all the future products will probably surpass what you have anyways too.
Though experiences like these can sure persuade you to do otherwise with all future purchases.
