I’m not sure why this was more prevalent in the news this week as there ere a lot of articles talking about people ho work in education that decided to make money on the site OnlyFans which enables people to charge others to have access to their private content consisting of adult material. So in these stories teachers were essentially posing nude or even creating sex scenes to generate money from people.
Their reasoning seemed straight forward where they expressed that their job simply doesn’t bring in enough money to sustain their lifestyle and so they had to seek alternative forms of income. This created a lot of backlash of course as many people would not expect people in a position such as a school teacher to do things like this. The other criticism is how it doesn’t seem right for a person to spend years on their degree only to end up making adult material for a living.
This often raises the point I hear how people say sex work is still work as it is one of the oldest professions. But of course, in most cultures it is frowned upon. But purely from a financial perspective would you ever contemplate in doing something like this if you were truly that desperate for money? I would say at minimum, your history would be permanent so you have to be okay with that I suppose where even if it gets you out of an undesirable financial situation you could then have an undesirable stigma professionally if you are trying to do other forms of work versus just that.
