There are a lot of countries where with the recent Ukraine and Russia war leaders are scrambling to find ways to meet their energy needs. No the interesting thing is that here in North America I remember the US cancelling a pipeline with Canada where I suppose it’s largely due to wanting to force growth into using all electric options. However, the world isn’t quit there yet n terms of the technology and power supply where many will still have to rely on the old methods.
So it got me thinking, because one was so against say oil to the point where they didn’t even care if they could still be energy dependent in an emergency, would it be too damaging for on to admit that they need more of the old at this point? This was a funny thought as apparently even Elon Musk who owns Tesla and should theoretically benefit enormously when it comes to shutting down fossil fuel related items expressed how the US needs more oil and gas production now.
He stated in his messages “Hate to say it, but we need to increase oil & gas output immediately.” As well, saying “Obviously, this would negatively affect Tesla, but sustainable energy solutions simply cannot react instantaneously to make up for Russian oil & gas exports.
It actually reminds me of stories where there are business owners who refuse to concede to the fact that they need something where they advocated it to be disposed of to the point where they would rather sink the business rather than adapting. I think that shows too where sometimes it’s better to keep an open mind and to not go all in unless you truly have everything in place right now huh? Life just loves to throw obstacles at you and limiting your options to solve it simply because of an ego in not wanting to be wrong per se is kind of silly I think.
