This was funny to think about as usually when people have to work longer hours they dread it as they would rather be doing something else or relaxing for the day. But today is an example I saw that is common where if people get paid a lot of overtime and premium for working longer than they should then all of a sudden they are welcoming it.
Can’t blame them as they could literally be earning triple the day’s pay which is good enough for many to keep piling up the hours. Aside from labor laws of course, it makes you wonder if just to increasing the pay for people is a lot more effective in encouraging them to work more versus investing in items like game rooms to help raise the spirit of everyone.
I suppose the other argument is just getting a standard high pay could just mean you need to constantly pay more to make one happy. But never underestimate how much money can factor in on one’s happiness and motivation overall.
