This was funny to think about as I went to a restaurant today where there were about twelve people and they ordered quite a few dishes. Literally over ten which consisted of a lot of meat. As it turned out, a lot of the food remained where many just brought a lot of it home. The reason being? A lot of the people were actually just kids which means they don’t typically eat as much as an adult. So two dishes of these types in a Chinese restaurant can often leave all these kids full let alone all the other dishes.
Imagine doing your food budget that way where someone simply asks for a head count and like here you spend hundreds of extra dollars on food that is unnecessary as it should be more based on how much each person is realistically going to eat. This is often why businesses price fees for kid and adults different. But it’s interesting to see how we overlook this.
Defeats the purpose too of ordering restaurant food for this much money when you are taking it out mostly for a meal next day.
