Ordering What You Can Actually Finish For The Sake of Money

I observed a common trait over the past few weeks when it came to hanging out with various people. Essentially, when it came to purchasing food or drinks a lot of people would simply order what they want with no regards as to whether or not they could actually finish it. As a result, this often led to people asking to pack the food to go or worst simply throwing everything away on the spot.

That just made me think of how much money one throws away each year with this habit. Especially when it comes to restaurant food prices. For myself I usually do factor in on whether or not I can finish a meal in one sitting before ordering it as to me I really dislike wasting money like this. This holds true for things I buy at the supermarket too. At the same time, I would rather not order an excess amount of food simply to take home because it wouldn’t be as good after and what I have at home is fresher and cheaper.

In many ways, it’s like managing your finances well in this case requires you to be in-tune with your body and health too to know how much you personally need in a day to maintain your active lifestyle. It’s like an overall life balance where everything you do plays a factor as to how well you can manage your money. Kind of makes you think where if you are having issues with money management maybe there are other aspects in your life that isn’t getting enough attention which indirectly plays a factor in it as well.
