Homes Catching On Fire And Insurance Fraud

While there has been a lot of stories of wildfires there also appears to be a lot of homes catching on fire as well. This would just be one house but rather a couple in a neighborhood that doesn’t seem like it naturally occurred. Because of this a lot of people are saying these are intentional fires for insurance fraud claims as an example due to people being in a tough financial position in life. Or, it can be a developer wanting a way out of a home that they were in the midst of building.

I have often heard of struggling businesses do something like that. It’s a sad state of affair if regular people are doing this rampantly now because some people simply haven’t recovered from all the lockdowns and impact it has had. Think of this too where if true some people are literally setting whole blocks of homes on fire to make it less obvious on who the arsonist is. I guess the only thing to really protect you there is to hopefully have insurance.

Would this actually make you want to invest in more ways to try and fireproof your home as well or at least valuable belongings? There is always something when it comes to investing your money to protect your assets it seems.
