It seems like there will be another player I the AI platform race where this one is called Grok. Why this stands out is because this will be billionaire Elon Musk’s service which apparently will be utilizing the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, as an information source. It’s main competitor would be ChatGPT which Microsoft has a heavy investment in. I’m interested in trying it out and it makes you wonder if this would be a great business direction for them to acquire users.
Thre are already million f people that pay for ChatGPT premium services. So imagine here if people paid for Grok and at the same time are encouraged to use the X platform with it. They could then theoretically be a gigantic social media site to potentially even compete with places such as YouTube as one of the business directions at X at the moment is to attract content creators.
That’s probably what a lot of business owners would want where they fundamentally have an eco system of complementing services that makes them stronger. Amazon is probably a good example of this where they are a shopping site that happens to have it’s own web hosting services as well as a literal parcel delivery operation. Gotta start small of course but those are probably the ideal way to grow.
