I decided to attend the fireworks today and decided just to try and find a free spot to watch the show. While there were a lot of VIP seating options, what was funny to think about was how close some of the seats were to just the beach area where you could set up a blanket or chair to watch the show.
Granted you need to get a bit early, but saving hundreds if dollars for just a seat seens like a better option. Come to think of it, I think it is similar to lining up at a stote sale to get say a huge discount on an item. Some people are willing to camp over night just to save one hundred dollars as an example.
If you were offered dinner or something for the price then I think it would be more enticing. But for the sake of being frugal while still getting to enjoy the show it seems like a good deal to me.
