For some reason there were a lot of posts today talking about banks online where people began to compare fees to determine if they should switch as some banks charge a lot just for basic services. It was interesting as there were a lot of people who seem to view a bank as like a home where they don’t want to just pack their bags and move due to the inconvenience. So as a result, moving is not even on the radar as they would rather accommodate to it since they have been with the bank for so long.
I generally view a bank as if you are going to a grocery store per se where they have to earn your business daily because at the end of the day it’s mostly just money going in and out. I can’t even remember the last time a bank tried to establish say that kind of bond with a customer to make them feel like it is going to a mom and pop shop as an example that you would feel bad not to support if you have for so many years. So, it makes you wonder how one developed that sense of loyalty considering most of them literally just see you as a number.
Although, it does show the importance of getting people while they are young as they say where they will do business with companies out of sheer habit as well.
