His was kind of funny as last week I got a very good coupon where I could save twenty percent off on pretty much anything that I bought from a supermarket. This naturally made me ask the people I knew such as family members as it could save everyone a lot of money. My brother was actually telling me that he had done all his grocery shopping for the week already and so he wouldn’t need to take advantage of it.
Just today he was asking me if I still had that coupon as he needed to buy a large bag of rice. I was then thinking “why didn’t you buy this last week when I asked?” It’s funny at times on how don’t think far enough ahead when it comes to saving money on our everyday purchases. Like here he was only thinking of the immediate things he needed for last week. For myself when it comes to coupons and discounts I often try to think on all the types of things that don’t normally go on sale where at the same time I would use it up in a reasonable timeframe.
I often find if you don’t do this then buying things at an inflated price when you need it can pretty much neglect all of the efforts you have put it in other stuff to save money. Like most things it’s consistency that’s the key to being good at it in the long-term.
