Usually, my shopping habit revolves around stopping by supermarkets and small grocery stores to see if there is a deal as it is often the best way to have a variety in your food choices while taking advantage of the current sale prices. So I never have to go out of my way to try and find deals. However, today a person specifically asked me to find some deals on chicken drumsticks as I got them a great deal before. I actually had to go out of my way route wise to get to the store I found the deal before. Unfortunately, the meat department didn’t even have any chicken drumsticks at all. Disappointing as it took me about thirty minute to get there.
However, I knew another store pretty close by that usually has sales for these items. Since that was on my way I dropped by like how I would usually visit stores. Fortunately, they actually did have a great sale price and so I bought ten pounds of fresh chicken drumsticks for them. I can imagine if I instead always travelled to stores hoping to find deals the time and cost probably wouldn’t be worth the savings overall. But just adjusting your daily commute route and planning which places you can visit on the way pretty much eliminates that obstacle and sets you up for finding unadvertised deals daily.
You tend to just settle in buying non sale priced items too if you go in expecting to find something but don’t see it to make it worth the time you took to go there. It just needs to be a regular habit versus an occasional trip of sort.
