Save Money Shopping Across The Block

Today I went looking for some strawberries again because the person I bought them for the other time was running out, and since I was able to find a good deal last time, maybe I could this time too. One thing that I really noticed that was crazy, and it’s kinda common, is that when I was going to various places, I saw them selling packs of strawberries, like a pound, for about maybe six dollars a box. Can you imagine that? Six dollars a box just for a pound of strawberries? That seems to be a regular price in a lot of places, but I knew that wasn’t the cheapest, as just the other day there were some strawberries that didn’t look too great, but for a box you could get about two dollars each.

And so when I was walking around in some stores, I saw that, sure enough, two of them you could buy for about five dollars and forty cents, so that’s not too bad to buy two, but this store was literally only about two blocks away from another store that was selling them for about six dollars a box. It just shows you how much you can save by just walking around the area. They all get it from the same source too — it’s the exact same brand of strawberries.

Now I can see how some of them are labeled as organic and are a different brand where you can kind of justify the difference in price, but when they’re selling the exact same brand, the exact same product, and the exact same amount, you have to wonder whether or not so many people are just buying things based on convenience in this regard, and you can just save so much money just by looking around. And many times, like in this case, you don’t have to travel too far either, as literally it’s like a block away where you could actually get a better deal.
