I was watching this wrestling clip online where a wrestler named Adam Copeland had a match recently and decided to jump off a steel cage where it would appear he landed right on his two feet that looked very painful. It made you wonder what the heck he was doing as that should guarantee some kind of injury. https://x.com/AEW/status/1794921836481826832
Sure enough, the wrestler is now out with an injury that requires surgery. The interesting part afterwards was how he essentially should have known better but his ego got the best of him thinking he could do that. This makes you think how he actually didn’t need to do this as I am sure people would have been happy with the show as is. But many times businesses feel they do need to take these crazy types of risks to stand out when they don’t.
I think the only time you really should go this crazy per se is if it is highly planned and organized kind of like a movie where you are doing something very risky but you are as prepared as anyone can be. Versus here where it almost looked like he just decided to do it based on say adrenaline. But even then I would probably first try to think if there are other ways to accomplish the same goal without putting yourself in that kind of a predicament. I am inclined to say if you feel like you have to continually do stuff like that to sustain a business then maybe the business itself needs an overhaul per se.
