I think everyone around the world has heard about the freedom convoy protests here in Canada where truckers have been parking their vehicles in protest of COVID mandates at various locations where they refuse to move unless the mandates are repealed. Now one factor was if people were to forcefully remove the trucks they need towing companies to do so. However, it seems like most companies are opting out as they don’t want to make the truckers upset as it would be say bad business.
That’s kind of interesting where it’s almost like staying out of politics even though when you think about it they could make a lot of money by just being the contractor per se. But the backlash is probably more damaging to them then the money they would make by say towing trucks that the city would pay them for.
Would you bypass income opportunities if the issue is highly political even if you could make say six figures in a month?
