Today was interesting as I spent time using an AI program while outside to test if it could accurately detect and explain what it sees in its surroundings. While it seemed fairly accurate if I was close to specific objects, you could clearly see it hallucinating when it only gets say partial vision of an object as it then rushes to give you an answer that is wrong. For example, it saw a color of a flag that was red and orange where it assumed it was like a Chinese lion dance. Another example is even though we were having conversations of local items it eventually started to talk about things based in the Vancouver in the US.
This is why it can be a good idea to try and break your new tech solutions per se before going all in and implementing them as part of your operations. I was thinking to my myself imagine if I opened up a tourist app business of sort relying on the AI to give people accurate information. As evident here, it just isn’t reliable yet and that may have been some unwanted liability if it gave people false information.
Just don’t jump the gun by replacing everything old with the latest and greatest.
