There seems to be on online store called Temu that is aggressively targeting Canadian as I have been seeing ads everywhere for this online shopping site that appears to want to takeover Amazon’s market share. From the looks of it they do seem to have really cheap products as it sounds like it is more of a direct selling channel for suppliers in China to sell directly to the consumer. The site honestly did give me an Ali Express type of feel to it.
I am inclined to try it just to see what it is like. One thing that does cross my mind is the last time I tried Ali Express it seemed like a weird coincidence that my credit card was compromised shortly after. Security seems to be a general concern from what I read as many people simply never heard of this company to know what its reputation is like. With that said, they seem to offer various forms of payments like PayPal as well.
If I was to try it out I would probably not want to buy anything like a phone since it seems like it is mostly unknown brands. Perhaps storage boxes and such would be a safe purchase to test it out.
