Today while walking through the store I was looking if there was any peanut butter on sale as I ran out the other day and would buy a jar if it was on sale. I don’t consume it all the time so it’s one of those extra items in a similar fashion to how people buy a bag of chips. All the prices were a non sale one though and my mindset is to usually not buy stuff like this at full price. However, I know that Fridays and Saturdays are usually the start of new flyer deals for many stores. So I opened up the app to see what next week’s flyer was and sure enough it had large jars of peanut butter for sale coming up. That made it easier to decide.
Apparently there are a lot of people who don’t actually look at the new upcoming flyer earlier as they simply check on the actual day where the sales always change. I think nowadays considering you can access the next week sales digitally it should be a regular habit to know if something you are thinking of getting this week will be cheaper or more expensive. Because it can help you in determining what to stock up too. For example, if this week there were a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables that were on sale I often research what the future sales will be to determine if I should buy say enough produce to last two weeks knowing the next week there won’t be huge discounts.
Or like here, I will probably buy at least one jar of peanut on the next sale day. Then when the flyer for the week after that is released for various stores I can determine if it might be a good idea to buy an extra jar of peanut butter now with the discounted price. That prevents the risk of stocking up only to see an even better deal net week too. It’s probably not in the best interest for companies to let you know about it’s upcoming sales too early but it’s good for you.
