This was kind of interesting to think about as when it comes to making money it’s all about exchanging some kind of skill or service in order to survive. But you have often heard how for many people they want to be remembered for something long after they are gone. So with that, it brought up the debate on whether or not tour work and businesses should specifically be tied to those goals or if they should primarily be an income generator first and foremost.
You can do both as many have proven. But many would argue it’s a nice to have similar to how if you happen to get paid a ridiculous amount of money doing exactly what you want then that’s great versus insisting it must be that way. An artistic field is a great example as many times people do what they love but the pay isn’t exactly the greatest. Insisting the refuse to work on anything unless it paid them exactly what they desired wouldn’t be wise if you don’t have many options.
The other angle is you can still make your mark through other means that may be safer such as working at a good paying job and then taking some money to invest it in experiences or ventures. That way you get the best of both worlds.
