This was an interesting topic I thought where usually when it comes to dreaming big or wanting to own some kind of expensive item you would be taught to save up and buy it through hard work. Make sense as it’s just like starting a business where your effort should equal to the rewards you get as well. But in this case the theme was to save money from having to buy these expensive stuff just live life precariously through someone else since odds you may get bored of it. After you will be glad you saved your money.
As an example you may have wanted an expensive computer just to see how fast it can run certain things as opposed to you actually needing it. So instead watching someone else do all the test can give you the same satisfaction and it would be free. Kind of makes sense in many ways too right? I would imagine a lot of people already do this but I don’t usually hear people talk about it as a way to help save money.
Of course some would say it’s not the same thing or that it can make you want to buy it more. At the same time, especially with tech items, it can actually be a way to encourage smarter investing. Seeing how fast things change and that you can never truly keep up in that way will probably make you think twice about just splurging emotionally.
