For one reason or another I was looking at an anniversary sale of sort from a store today that normally sells fairly well known brand stuff. Because it was a sale, people naturally try to find and buy items that are the cheapest as the mentality is that there are deals to find. The funny thing was they introduced so many “no name” or lesser known brands in this sale and it seemed like most people didn’t care as it was all about the price.
When you think about it, in any other day people would be weary about buying stuff other than brands that they are familiar or comfortable with. So from a business point of view, I guess that really makes sense as an opportunity to get people to buy these lesser known brands of items. I know for many companies these items usually have a higher profit margin for them too. Something to think about if you are in that line of business.
