This was actually a real scenario that I was thinking about which is kind of odd when you think about it but people do it all the time. Imagine you had some kind of project or invention that generated the interest of another party. Whatever it is you are doing is experiencing moderate success. That person or company then wants a piece of it where in return they promise you the possibility of making it bigger through their connections and resources. Would you do it?
I was just thinking as financially it actually makes no sense where the other party wins for sure as either way they will be getting a piece of what you are generating with no guarantees that they will contribute anything. But yet we often seem so willing to agree to it with factors such as maybe the name of the company is pretty large.
I am inclined to say situations like those is more of a test for you to say “no” I they can’t guarantee you something as well. It would be entirely different if they were paying you to get a percentage of your business and all. But I have noticed nowadays a lot of online entrepreneurs are presented these types of offers which many quickly accept. Would you do that just for a chance of a big name company saying that they would help you to grow?
