The other day I attended a attraction where you had to simply pay two dollars to enter the area. I guess kind of like a tiny museum. One interesting note was that there was an area where the whole ground was on springs of sort and so kids could jump up and down continuously for fun. However, the catch was this item cost $10 to use per child. There definitely were a lot of children too and it wasn’t surprising that so many parents swayed it off because of the price.
That made me think how if it was more reasonable like say $1 to $2 that they would have probably generated more business. It was perceived as extra expensive too as there were a lot of things that you could do for free. For myself, I know people usually price it that high because they are relying on the fact that they just need to say sell a few as opposed to a lot to earn the income that you want. But I always like to think that many times even if you don’t make as much per sale, having more sales in general means more customers and free word of mouth advertising to get the word out about your services. That can be a good idea for a service like this too as it appearred there was virtually no extreme maintanence costs.
