Branding The Same Offering Differently

For one reason or another there appeared to be a lot of advertisements recently for various fitness and martial arts classes. I guess one reason could be work is drying up in certain industries and so people are decided to open up schools to make some extra income. One thing that was surprising and interesting from a business perspective is how some places simply branded their courses differently to attract certain demographics.

For example, one place appeared to have traditionally taught parkour which involves a lot of tricks per se such as jumping through various obstacles. So maybe with the recent film industry strikes there thought there would be a lot of actors interested in it and therefore they simply branded their current offering as learning parkour for actors. There didn’t seem to be any change in the curriculum itself.

Products are often labelled for specific people as well even though technically It works for everything. For example, companies labeling a memory card as if it is for specific game consoles or cameras when realistically they would work for either. So there must be something to it that you should consider I suppose if you are trying to attract more people.
