Recently I have been talking to some people about options when it comes to equipment as like always you want what’s best to get the job done while being reasonable financially. There was a bunch of stuff to choose and it seemed like there wasn’t really one company that did everything the best. So mixing and matching seemed like the most logical option to go with. One thing that was apparent though was despite certain products being inferior to others there were people who seemed stuck in only wanting specific brands.
Even if there was a better option feature and price wise they still leaned towards getting items made by a specific brand. This is a common issue with all of us where we just tend to go with the name brands that we recognize huh? That’s true even for myself where if there is a category of items that I am not too familiar with then I would tend to look into the product that is made by a name that I recognize. Sometimes there is a benefit such as having better chances of compatibly.
But many times you can just end up paying more if you don’t focus on which ones are actually the best for you. Reminds me of like shampoo where they say many of them are literally the same thing coming out of the same factory with different labels. It’s the branding you are paying for. For me I guess just being interested in the business aspects of things like this helps where once you thoroughly understand where your stuff comes from and how it is made then just buying based on brand isn’t as tempting. Companies want to make money of course and you probably want to save. Make them work for your dollar by getting what is actually best for you I say.
