Working More Versus Spending Time Getting Deals

Kind of crazy today as there was a massive lineup at a store that was opening and there must have been like 300+ people where you have to wait a good 4 hours to get into the store. While the deals were great, the lineup seemed pretty ludicrous considering some of the items you would only save about $20. Now it is a great deal such as something normally costing $25 and now it is marked at $5, but is it really worth it for a 4 hour lineup?

I was thinking that for cases like this it almost makes more sense just to do more work during those four hours and buy the item at the regular retail price. You will come out ahead financially as well and not to mention not having to lineup for so long. Unless the savings are pretty enormous which definitely outweighs what you normally make in a day then that is different. There was one item that looked like people would save about $500. As a result, apparently the people at the front of the line camped out the day before. I never camped out for deals before personally.
