I am sure like most people today I read that horrific news that happened in New Zealand where a person shot and killed dozens of people at a Mosque. One of the surprising things of this whole ordeal is how apparently the person wrote a manifesto of sorts where he describes why he was doing what he did as well as his inspirations. But that was the interesting part as it felt like he was implying how he was doing and saying certain things for the sake of riling up the media to get the exposure that he wants. I guess you can say it worked too in many ways.
For example, he would reference big name celebrities or even Internet memes so that outlets would scrutinize the sources that he mentioned. It’s almost like he treated this whole thing with a business minded approach as if someone was trying to purposely make a viral video or meme. Pretty disgusting overall I must say. If anything you probably don’t want to act in a way that this person is hoping you will. While these kinds of manipulation can happen a lot in a business environment too such as people faking conflicts or beliefs to get attention you have to be one step ahead and know their overall plan.
What an unfortunate situation overall for everyone that has been affected by this and hope everyone is able to find a way through it.
