Wealth Psychology

financial literacy

Wasn’t this interesting. I just read this article that talked about how there are people who seek help from wealth psychologists to help them deal with the money in their lives. For example, people who are uncomfortable inheriting a lot of wealth or learning to teach kids to be responsible with money in a financially fortunate environment. Apparently this “wealth psychology” industry is growing too.

Maybe it’s just me, but using the term “psychologist” makes it sound a little extreme. Wouldn’t a “consultant” be a better word? Kind of makes it feel like a medical issue of some sort.
