Usually when we think of sales days like Black Friday come to mind. Although, in the next few weeks there should be a bunch of sales for retail stores as many of them actually end their fiscal years soon. That means clearing out old inventory and trying to balance the books for the new year. Not a lot of people actually anticipate for these sales even though the deals can be just as good as say Boxing Day.
Usually there are a lot of Christmas returned items still too that need to be sold believe it or not. It can be cheaper to just to get rid of the item rather than taking up inventory space for the business which makes sense for the sale. When I worked at a retail store they were working hard to dump all the old tech products such as printers and monitors during these times.
It raises the point too on how there is often a lot of big sales year round if you ever feel like you have to buy something now as there will be no big sale until say the end of the year.
