I had a funny thought today as I was walking through the park where on one side it does feel more like a hiking trail of sorts where it is pretty narrow. To my surprise as I turned the corner these two large horses came into my sight as they were walking towards me. You just don’t see random horses here. It happened to be police officers who were patrolling the area I suppose where instead of doing it on foot or a bike they were riding a pair of horses.
I was trying to rationalize why the police would use a horse there considering how tight it is which made them go really slow as well. The only thing I could think of is maybe if they found say a person they needed to help then technically the horse could carry the extra weight more easily which could save time in that regards. But I was still thinking that something like a bicycle would make more sense considering where they were and one could cover more ground faster. Can’t exactly have a horse running at any decent speed too as I would imagine the risk of hitting someone would be high.
Could it just be a situation of it’s available and so they decided why not as an example? Because that is a common type of scenario even for the average person to the point where one is spending more money than they need as something simpler would do. A real example I saw was how someone could have just taken a photo with his phone but for some reason they decided to use a drone where they flew it right in-front of themselves to do so. It didn’t make sense there considering the setup time and the quality wasn’t as good. Simpler can be better many times.
