This was kind of an interesting experience today where I had to get a replacement product from a company and usually you would expect to have to ship the item back and then they would ship you a new item. However, in this case apparently the business owners actually had family members in my area and so they arranged for me to simply meet one of them to return the item. I know, sounds super sketchy. However, this was a small business and so it made a little more sense in terms of being able to do stuff like this. I would never expect a giant corporation to even dare do this as there is too much liability.
So on the say apparently it was the owner’s son where for the most part it was a quick exchange. The person didn’t even work for the company but I guess it’s one of those situations where it was close to him and he was going to meet up with the family anyways so may as well do it versus paying a shipping company for it. Makes sense in that regards. It’s just weird of course as it isn’t normal.
In some ways though it’s like seeing restaurants or shops that are clearly run by a small family and there is no company uniform as an example as well. Interesting experience though.
