I was looking at this person’s marketing strategy as it got me curious why he was so big in his field compared to other people. It definitely wasn’t because of work quality where even as an outsider his work didn’t seem to be that much different than everyone else. Was it just a case of timing or having the right connections? Upon further inspection it seemed like he often used words such as “millionaire” to brand himself or services.
Imagine browsing around for an accountant as an example where for one business they say something along the lines of “The expert accountant that everyone trusts” and then you have this guy with something like “The accountant that millionaires trust”. It sounds so silly but that was the consistent difference in his marketing and branding strategy that helped him stand out from the competition.
I guess I can’t be surprised as many people will gravitate with those words in various situations. It’s usually one of those scenarios where do you do what seems best in a professional image sense or what actually resonates with the mass?
