Recently my phone has been acting up a lot where it seems like the battery is simply close to the end of its life. I got this phone over three years ago and it’s one of those non replaceable battery phones. I was planning to get a new one as well but there doesn’t seem to be any great deals at the moment. The battery is getting so bad that it won’t even hold a charge at times. There is an option where I could bring it into a store and get it services for about $100 to replace the battery. But should I if I can technically still use it?
It’s one of those habits I just developed where if what I have can still technically serve it needs despite some imperfections then I tend to keep using it until it truly breaks down and needs a replacement. It just helps you save so much money this way as well so that you don’t fall into the social pressure of getting the latest and greatest just for the sake of it. Many times that is the only real reason that people get a new piece of gear.
At the same time it can get really inconvenient at the moment. Are you inclined to just buy a new phone right away or even pay for the high cost battery replacement? I know the majority of people would as it is just way easier. I just know if I did that all the time I would have regretted a ton of purchases because I could have managed until something fantastic came along that would be an instant buy.
