Usually when we buy something that falls below our expectations or is unpleasant we swear that we will never buy the item again right? While that is probably wise it got me thinking as the other day I was giving people some yellow zucchini from a community garden where they were used to eating the green ones. Upon trying it they said that it didn’t seem as good and so they prefer the green ones if possible.
What ended up happening was that the green ones were still growing and there were yellow ones growing pretty big. After thinking about it the one I gave people were pretty small so maybe it wasn’t the right time to pull it out before. So this time I gave them the large ones. The reaction was interesting as they didn’t think there would be any difference. However, upon trying the larger ones they say it’s actually great.
That should get you to think where many times if you got something that seems bad maybe you should try getting it elsewhere as an example or a different variation. You never know as you may end up really liking it or finding it useful. This can be important for marketing and business too because many times people try one thing and then write it off so fast because they couldn’t get the results that they wanted. Social media platforms are a great example where people just throw it away immediately because they couldn’t generate results that they see larger people produce.
Like there maybe you just need to use it in a different way that is specific for your business. Giving things a fair chance while making sure it absolutely doesn’t work for you should be a habit.
