Treating Politics Like A Snap Business BC Election

Well there was sure a shocking surprise here recently as it was announced that there will be a general election taking place. All this during a time where everything isn’t yet back to normal and there doesn’t seem to be any need to change which party is going to lead the province as it seems like people are agreeing to work together.

However, apparently the current party leader mentioned that the current structure where parties can’t get anything approved without agreement from other parties is too unstable during a time like this and so this sudden election is necessary. My personal view and many others seems to be that they are trying to gain more seats and using this pandemic as an excuse of sorts to hopefully get more power.

For example, because things aren’t out of control here with crazy infections or anything like that many people are assuming that the person will get more votes for his party as things are going well. That will probably backfire by the sounds of it as the word I am hearing is “yeah right”. It makes me think how politicians are in any ways treating their positions as just like a business. Basically the end goal is to increase their presence while maintaining their roles. So they need to take every opportunity you can. Even if that means breaking promises and ties with other people that one has made.

I guess in that sense I would have to kind of treat this like a business too where I am the investor who can choose to invest in this one organization or another huh? What a strange decision to have this now though.
