If you are like most people when you shop online you probably rely on things such as customer reviews and sales numbers to determine whether or not a certain product is worth buying. Because of that too there are companies that specialize in essentially selling fake reviews and ratings in hopes to attract shoppers to purchase their goods instead of everyone else’s.
I was watching this documentary online that talked about the industry a little where in this case it specifically used Amazon and how a company in China has been doing his successfully for many people.
It’s not surprising to see this personally but it’s just amazing that people are openly willing to talk about it. Makes you wonder as a consumer to do you invest any time to learn about the business aspects of these companies so that you can better educate yourself to avoid falling for fake reviews and sales numbers too? For myself I have said many times that learning about the business side of things isn’t just for the entrepreneurs. It can make you a well-educated consumer so that you won’t fall for the common tricks of the trade.
