I am looking for a very specific product for a Christmas gift where I see it on sale at various stores. While the price seems good compared to the non sale price, it isn’t exactly at a point where I myself would be able to say I got a great deal type of thing. So if there wasn’t the factor that Christmas is coming soon and there is a deadline to buy this I would have no problems in holding out longer for a better deal.
For me when it comes to Christmas shopping it’s usually the week before Christmas that I would say just buy it if the price seems good as the extra hassle of dealing with the crowds and the risk that you will have to settle with a non sale priced item is probably greater. I guess at times like this it makes more sense to do what many do where they have a mutual agreement with their friends and family that they will buy their gifts after Christmas for them as all the deals will surely be present then.
