Today I saw these expensive chocolates called Lindt Champs Elysees Chocolate Pralines Box where on the site it listed the retail price at almost $50 per box. They were now selling it for $10 a box. My first thought wasn’t so much the discount but rather are these chocolates that good to cost that much? They seem pretty big though.
On top of that, they had this coupon where you can get an additional 20% off which would mean each box would be about $8 each. Would you be inclined to buy this based on the discount factor after seeing all this? I would imagine a lot of people would even if they don’t normally buy these types of chocolate where the discount makes it more inline with the average stuff you see.
Another factor is to get free shipping you would need to buy about $40 worth of stuff. So with the discount that means you would need to buy five boxes. Otherwise an $8 shipping fee would make the deal less appealing. Would you do it still? I know many people would start asking friends and family where if you can find one buyer per box then everyone can get a great deal. But five for yourself? Would you do it because of the discount?
