I was watching that show Shark Tank recently where there was a kid that pitched a business where he sold glue for lego products as you can glue the pieces together but it’s not permanent. Great way to potentially save one from accidentally breaking their creation. The dad was there too but it was mostly for support as the kid took charge. In the end, he got a deal. What stuck out was the most basic point that was taught to the child where if he wanted to be an inventor he just needed to identify a problem and then find a solution for it. Afterwards, it’s just about getting to work.
If a kid can do it so can you right? Sometimes we need to think like a kid again in terms of getting back to the basics without that fear that everyone else has put in your head on why you should or shouldn’t do something. Knowledge is power of course. But many times we know too much for our own good to the point where we don’t take any action. As well, many people actually tend to spend way too much money learning rather than doing.
It sounds easy but it can be hard to go against all the knowledge and advice you have paid for over the years. But if you haven’t done anything with it perhaps thinking like a kid again can be the answer where you need to have fun and just do it.
