The other day I was looking for some drain cleaning tools and out of habit I searched online and compared the offerings. In a lot of cases you could get about five pieces for about $15 which seems like a lot for mostly plastic. In this case, I decided to see if there ws anything local at the Home Depot here as that store should specialize in items like these. Sure enough, they had an option that seemed so much better. In this case, you could buy a pack of two drain cleaning tools for $1.85. Not only is it way cheaper, but I could obviously just get it now versus waiting for shipping.
Items online are often cheaper due to the fact that they have less overhead such as not requiring a retail store. But one thing to keep in mind nowadays is that a lot of online stores have third party sellers where even though the main company like Amazon may handle all the shipping and processing, a lot of times it’s just small businesses or even people reselling items as if they are using Ebay. So, the deals may not be as good like here if you get the products at an actual store that specializes in those products.
You can’t completely rule out visiting the traditional stores in order to find the best deals.
