I was browsing on one of Canadian bank sites and noticed some advertisements about those tax free savings accounts that are arriving in 2009. From what I read before, essentially these accounts you can place in a certain amount of money every year, kind of like an RRSP, except you can withdraw money with worrying about having to pay taxes on it.
I’m actually really interested in this as it sounds like a great incentive to save money without all the headaches of calculating whether or not you are truly making the right choice in the long run. I wonder if there are any fine prints to this though. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
