This was kind of fascinating as I was watching all these videos from this apparent business guru where for the most part I get this untrustworthy feeling where the person seems to be selling high ticketed training material to people based purely on type and emotional purchases. From the research done by various people that seemed to be the case as the person’s list of successful businesses was nowhere to be found.
But the interesting thing was he made a remark that a large chunk of his audience was actually from poor countries as many people want to find that one thing that will help them become a financial success. It’s almost like a scenario where even if you only have a high school level of knowledge about a topic that’s still more than what an average elementary school kid would know. Therefore, your skill is super valuable where you can charge a premium in many ways.
So in this person’s case that seemed to be one of his explicit sales techniques. In one way I guess it truly is just business as the person was able to find the niche he needed. At the same time it just feels kind of awkward to label oneself as an expert in that case. It just feels kind of dishonest and opportunistic.
