Sticking With What You Know Versus Evolving

This was an interesting story I heard where a person who made a living creating tutorial videos has been at it for almost a decade where you can safely say they have developed a system that works for them. By the looks of it too they never really attempted to be more modern day in terms of increasing their production value. You would assume it’s one of those if it isn’t broken then don’t fix it correct?

That’s what was interesting as one of the camera literally broke down after all those years. Naturally, since their business needs one it’s time to go shopping. But the thing was the person didn’t want to buy a modern day camera. Instead he was so terrified about having to re-learn a lot of items that he started to go to sites such as Ebay in an attempt to find the exact camera he was using. He did find it and the price was definitely not a bargain for how old it is. But that’s what he wanted to stick with and so he bought it.

Kind of makes you think whether or not in these cases it can be the perfect opportunity to try new things and to increase the quality of your offerings. I would actually find it more exciting than scary personally. But that could just be me. You wouldn’t ever truly know if something else could be better if you don’t at least try and see if it would be better. It would remind me of businesses before that refused to make a website because they felt it was too complicated and not needed.
