I was just watching the news on how there is a lottery here called the 6/49 and in the last draw there wasn’t anyone who won the jackpot. Instead, 239 people got five numbers right along with a bonus number which qualifies for the second level of winnings.
That number sounded absurdly high and so out of curiosity I decided to see what the numbers were. Apparently the main numbers were 23, 40, 41, 42, 44, 45 and the bonus number was 43. So by looking at that it means that there was a possibility that 239 people literally chose the number combination from 40 to 45. Who would of thought huh?
Another funny thing was that there were so many people that won the second level prize that the money distribution would be about $1,993.70 for each person. Since in comparison there were only 106 people that got five numbers right those people actually got more as their winnings were divided to $2,223.40 each person.
I guess it is free money for them so no one is complaining, but I just thought it was such a strange happening.
